I had the privilege of working with Carol Broslaw for seven years at the Four Seasons Hotel in Newport Beach, CA. In 2005 the hotel owner, The Irvine Company, took over the management of the property and renamed it the Island Hotel, but the level of service and operation standards did not change. My position was Director of Catering, while Carol’s position was Director of Conference Services.
Carol has been involved in every aspect of event planning. After working many years at the Four Seasons in Newport Beach she worked as an event planner for Pacific Life and handled all aspects of their high-profile, senior executive meetings from initial site inspection, travel, housing, complete event planning, and event management.
I had the pleasure of working with Carol at Pacific Life Insurance Company from March 2014 through September 2018. Over the 4 years, I was able to watch her work independently as well as part of a team and she does not disappoint. Being able to draw from her previous life as a conference director with Four Seasons Newport Beach and Fashion Island Hotel she knows the right questions to ask and what to anticipate to make sure a program operates flawlessly and within budget. She is detailed oriented, sets expectations and follows through to make sure all the details are met and expectations are exceeded. Her easy-going attitude helps to put the host at ease.
